Witnessing love in 2017 {Southern Minnesota Traveling Wedding Photographer}

There is no secret I love weddings. In 2017 I was able to work with ten wonderful couples and was honored to capture their days. My second shooters and I had a blast at each of these events. There are a few I still need to blog independently, and those will come out this month yet 🙂

Thank you to these amazing couples!

J and A were married in February. Doesn’t look like it, does it?! It was 50 degrees on their wedding day. I almost wanted snow 😉

April 1 brought another beautiful day. This couple was so in love, and that’s no joke! (hehe I had to!). I was so glad that S & J asked us to be there for their amazing wedding! See more here on their blog post.

T&D, what can I say? We had a blast at their engagement shoot, click here for that blog post. It was also published on A North Woods Wedding. I knew their June wedding was going to be a blast. The threat of rain was there the whole time we did portraits, but the clouds didn’t unleash until during the ceremony, then they cleared. It was amazing day! Click here for more images and more of the story.

I only did one styled shoot in 2017. It takes a lot of work, and this one was going to be hard to beat. We had an amazingly HOT day on June 1 for this shoot. The light, location, everything was perfection. More on the blog post here. I was lucky enough to have this shoot published on Glittery Bride.

Sometimes I don’t get to meet with my couples prior to a wedding. It makes me a little nervous walking into a day without much knowledge, but this July day was incredible. P&H were a quiet couple, but beautifully in love. The day was gorgeous and I loved all the details. Click here for their blog post.

I am not at a loss for words much (those of you who know me personally, know this well), but this July wedding was stunning. The light at noon, which makes all natural light photographers nervous, was perfect. It was warm, but not terribly hot, and no rain. B&C truly had a perfect day. If you want to see more (lots more) click here for the blog post.

August is one of my favorite months. It is usually perfectly warm, but not hot, and the light starts to get dreamy. Well, Aug 5 of 2017 was COLD. There were sprinkles in the air and I wore 3/4 sleeves and was chilled most of the day. But guess what? It didn’t dampen the spirits of this couple or their families. Though I didn’t get to post my own blog post on this wedding yet, it was published on So This is Love, check it out.

D&J were a couple after my own heart. I met with J and her dad prior to the wedding, and could tell they were genuine people. Taking photos in a cow pasture? Yes please! Sept. 2 was a great day for these two. Stay tuned for their full blog post soon!

I adore this family. Their engagement session was amazing, see here, and I knew their day was going to be a blast. It was my first time down in Okoboji and I can’t wait to go back! Their day was gorgeous and covered with butterflies. I can’t wait to blog their whole day, such an amazing story! Stay tuned!

I love going to new venues. When A&J told me where their wedding was taking place, I swooned! Golden Oak Farm is amazing! It was chilly, and threat of rain, but that meant we could shoot anywhere without the fear of shadows. And we did! There was an amazing hill with gorgeous color, then down by the llama fences (yes, llamas) we got even more portraits. The rain held out until everyone was safe under the tent during supper. Oh this blog post is going to be epic!!

I couldn’t have asked for a more amazing way to end 2017 wedding season then with E&S. Their engagement session, seen here, was a blast. Their wedding day was not as warm, in fact it was FREEZING on Nov.4. But these two, an their crew toughed it out for amazing photos.

Again, 2017 was incredible. Each of my couples were amazing and I hope that I get to work with them again in the future. And to my second shooters, you all worked so hard and gave me awesome photographs. I can’t do it without you, thank you.

Here we go 2018, let’s see if you can top 2017!
