~P&H Say I do!~ {Southern Minnesota Wedding Photographer}

I may be avoiding all of the things I need to get done before we leave for our vacation to Michigan. I am super excited, don’t get me wrong, it’s just so much WORK to go for a long vacation.

So, here I am. Getting one last blog post in…

When I heard what H’s “theme” was for her wedding, I got a little excited. I LOVE anything vintage and antique. I guess you can call me an old soul. Her beaded purse was from her grandmother and was from 1939, that’s 78 years, people! She also had a piece of beading from her great grandmother’s dress, circa 1919. Almost 100 years old! It was awesomely beautiful.

They mostly concentrated on the music of their day. They had a choir and organist during their ceremony. A harpist during supper at the reception and a jazz band for the dance. I love me some live music!

A word from the bride:

“Perfect weather, amazing family and friends. It couldn’t have been a better day.” ~H

Even her dress fit into her vintage theme. I love lace dresses.

This little bag is 78 years young, and still fabulous!

These two are very introverted and quiet. It was nice to see just a calm around them.

Their love story:

“We’re both very introverted and we had a mutual friend (super extroverted), who knew we’d be perfect together. She kept texting us until we friend requested each other on Facebook. We talked for awhile, went on our first date a few weeks later, and the rest is history.”

The groomsmen had custom tie clips that matched their occupations. It was super cool!

Last fall when I was working with Rockhill Studio on a wedding in Minneapolis, I told the groomsmen to photo bomb her and the bridesmaids. I guess this was karma coming back at me 🙂

The tradition: However many rings come apart when lifted from the top is how many children they couple is to have. Four, P pulled four rings. :-)

The couple met through Beth and P made a joke that it was her fault, it was cute. You know, Beth is super cool. She was H’s personal attendant and I called her Jen for the first hour I was with all of them. She never once corrected me, she just went with it. She then became Beth-Jen. I love cool people!
“Her only demand for setting us up was she wanted a corsage at the wedding. I’m making her work for it, so she’s my personal attendant,” ~H

H was in a play with this beautiful ladies. They came to the reception in character from the play! Oh it was so cute!

I. Love. Weddings. This one was no exception. I love pulling the couple one last time before I take off to get those last few beautiful moments in the perfect light. It never fails me.

Thank you P&H for allowing my team and I to be there on your day. You are right, it was perfect.
