I met Melanie at a bridal show two years ago. We gushed over her plans and her excitement was contagious.
Then she said “I will get ahold of you when my boyfriend proposes!”
Wait…what?
She explained that her and Addison had been dating since high school and they just wanted to wait until he finished school before they got engaged.
Oh, ok that makes sense.
I got the call in May of 2017.
“He did it! He finally asked!”
I was so excited for her! And thrilled that we had connected those months before.
We had gotten together that fall for their engagement session and I had a blast getting to know these two. Then they moved to North Carolina.
Fast forward almost an entire year.
Their wedding day was here.
Addison made Melanie her own perfume. No, really, he came up with an original scent, how cute is that?!
Melanie had quite the tribe of girls surrounding her. So much love.
Her parents were adorable.
They got married at Greenwood Nursery and I was geeked! I know the owners and knowing how creative they are, I knew it was going to be a dream!
How cute was this? They had blankets ready for their guests, and it was cold!
We snuck off into the grove for the first look and portraits.
Oh I love when couples incorporate their fur babies <3
This group, So. Much. Fun.
Any chance I get to take photos of an outhouse…I’m going to.
The lighting in the greenhouse was perfection!
These dads were excited for this day.
Oh Molly, I had to give you your own spot light 🙂 The bustle was a b*tch 😉
After the ceremony we hopped over to the high school to get photos where these two first met. We had taken some during their engagement session as well.
We had some pretty epic fall colors that weekend.
Super cute favors, caramel apples.
Their love had been tested by miles throughout their relationship. They kept all of their plane tickets and decorated their cake table with them. They also cut hearts out of maps of Minnesota and North Carolina.
Melanie wrote a note on each place card for her guests. Every. Single. One. How sweet is that?
I love including generations in photos.
Yes, he licked her nose. They are so cute.
Everyone deserves to be looked at like Addison looks at Melanie. <3
Addison and his mom danced to the song from Tarzan. Disney played a big role in their household. Melanie did a voice over for her daddy daughter dance, I cried.
Then the fun began.
This. This is the face of a happy man.
Congratulations again, you two. It was an honor and pleasure capturing your day!!
