I have a booth at the Prairie Women’s Expo in Tracy, MN every spring. I love this event because I get to meet so many local people that I don’t see often. This year I had so many high school students stopping to talk about senior portraits. It was so much fun! Katlyn was one of those students.
I told her about my model program and told her to let me know ASAP if she was interested. They took one more lap and was back, she was officially my 2018ย model for TMB.
We got together for her summer session on a super hot day. Super hot. But she was a trooper. Even when her steer decided to go on a solo romp around theย yard, she kept her “cool” and we were back into photo mode.
She is a farm girl through and through. Loves her animals.
I’m a sucker for animals too.

We had to hike down a pretty steep hill for these photos. But it was totally worth it!

Then we snuck out into the cow pasture for some last minute shots before we lost the light.

In the fall, we headed to the track for some sports photos. Our plans changed since there was a Cub football game scheduled that day. But the light was still spot on.
I have always loved the way the light comes through these trees.

These photos made Katlyn itch for track season.
After the track photos we headed just out of town for some fall foliage photos.
I had to get my orange chair out!
Our last stop was my new studio. This was in the VERY early stages of transition. We hadn’t painted, or have anything really moved in yet.
But we made it work!
