~D~ Wedding April 1, 2017 {Southern Minnesota Wedding Photographer}

When S contacted me about an April 1st wedding, I seriously thought it was a joke. 

I literally asked her when I called, “is this legit?” She laughed at me and said, “yes, it’s real.” 

We could not have asked for better weather on April 1 in Minnesota. I mean, for example, it’s May 1 and we had a snow day from school. That is no joke! 

Anyway, on April 1 it was high 50s and we were all loving it. I was sweating in my leggings and short sleeved sweater. It was so nice not to have a bride or wedding party freezing for a spring wedding.

The wedding was beautiful, like every wedding. Spending time outside for detail shots was so refreshing. I don’t think we stopped talking about how nice the weather was. 

S and J are super adorable. You could tell S was nervous/excited and was giddy. However, she had time to help her bridesmaids with their makeup!

The best part was that the groomsmen didn’t know how to tie their neckties. They were watching youtube videos while getting ready. What did we ever do before youtube?! 

Emotional first looks get me every time. So sweet.

To stage a “getaway” we stole the bride and groom for some photos with their getaway vehicle, S’s grandpa’s Jeep. Well, J couldn’t get it started! S leaned over and BOOM- started 🙂
