Ruthie and her mother came to visit me in my office last Spring. We spoke about photography, the portraits she wanted, etc. Ruthie also asked me if she could be my shadow for a class assignment. I was thrilled!
So, not only did I get to hang out with Ruthie for her portraits, we also got to hang out at some photo shoots. She has a true passion and I am excited to see where her artistic eye will take her.
For her summer session we headed out to Mound Creek Park. We ventured into the woods (avoided the poison ivy) and got some beautiful portraits.
In case I haven’t mentioned…every session with me is an adventure!
I love this little creek that flows into this very TALL waterfall. It is amazing.

Then for fall we went to Ramsey Park in Redwood Falls.
It was a perfect fall day after a major flood the weekend before.
Loved her outfit choices!
These waterfalls make me scared every time I shoot on them, but it is always worth it.
Oh Ruthie, you are such a strong force. You are going to have such a profound effect on this world. I can’t wait to see where your future takes you!
