First Annual Children’s Portrait Contest~ Success! {Southern Minnesota Children’s Portrait Photographer}

I had decided in June I wanted to have a children’s portrait contest. It was a way for me to get my name out there more in the area, take some adorable photos, and interact with some clients. 

I wanted the prize to be something I would want to win, and it was! I LOVE the resturant Lakeside Hideaway  in Currie, MN. My husband and I go there at least once a month for date nights, and for being in a small tiny town, it packs TONS of flavor in their food. Always worth the drive. 

With the owners of Lakeside on board, I put the word out, and I was pleased with the number of participants I had! For being the first year, it was awesome!! 

Thank you to all of the children I got to meet and that participated! You were all so much fun, even when I had to work for those smiles 😉 

Miss A~ she made me work for those toothy grins! 

Miss H is always willing to give me a great smile! She is a blast to work with!

They are too cute! 

I hadn’t seen Mr. S since he was a newborn, man has he grown! What a little ham! 

Mr. C was all business.

Mr. M was full of smiles as long as I was talking about John Deere!

Oh these two! I always have fun with them! 

Mr. C was first up in this series, and gave me great smiles! 

Older Mr. C knows what it takes, and was a perfect subject! 

Oh Miss C, you have a special place in my heart! 

These kiddos are pretty special to me and my family and I love working with them!

Mr. T usually gives me a hard time for smiles, but he was in his element and knows quite a bit about fishing! 

Miss A is quite talented and such a sweetie! 

And here she is! The winner!! Miss H made me work hard for those smiles and even helped clean up the park a bit while I waited. We went on adventures and talked about all sorts of things. It was so much fun, and she was the first scheduled session!
